All-Ukrainian Student Research and Practice Online Conference "Anti-Crisis Measures in Hotel and Restaurant Business and Infrastructural Development of Ukraine in the Context of Overcoming the Consequences of COVID-19": Results


On May 27, 2021, Karazin University hosted the All-Ukrainian Student Research and Practice Online Conference "Anti-Crisis Measures in Hotel and Restaurant Business and Infrastructural Development of Ukraine in the Context of Overcoming the Consequences of COVID-19".

The event which was held within the framework of the Jean Monnet module program “Infrastructure that have united Europe: Insights into the History, Recent Developments and Outlook for Capacities” (611665-EPP-1-2019-1-UA-EPPJMO-MODULE) gathered more than 30 participants.

The event was opened by the Dean of the School of International Economic Relations and Travel Business, Valerii Rieznikov, who stressed the relevance of the topic and the importance of finding ways to overcome the crisis in the hotel industry.

In addition, the Deputy Dean for Research of the School of International Economic Relations and Travel Business, Olha Maiboroda, joined the greeting and wished the participants practical implementation of the proposed solutions.

The conference worked in two sections, which touched on various issues relevant to modern economics, medicine, food technology, management and history.

The scientists thoroughly covered the risks of the hotel and restaurant industry, prospects for development, justified the opening of new cafes and restaurants, analyzed business plans, discussed the importance of information and communication technologies in overcoming the crisis.

The participants also presented practical recommendations for the consumption of seasonal products, identified the importance of developing the infrastructure of medical institutions for Ukraine's social policy.
