International Research and Practice Conference of Young Researchers “Monument Protective Traditions of Sloboda Ukraine”
On November 8-9, 2019, Karazin University is holding the X International Research and Practice Conference of Young Researchers “Monument Protective Traditions of Sloboda Ukraine”, dedicated to the 130th birth anniversary of art expert, architecture historian, museologist, organizer and participant of the monument protective movement in Sloboda Ukraine, Stefan Taranushenko.
Organizers: Regional Municipal Institution “Kharkiv Research and Methodological Center for Cultural Heritage Protection”, V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University, with support from the Culture and Tourism Department of Kharkiv Regional State Administration.
Conference focus areas:
— current issues of culture development in Sloboda Ukraine;
— problems of protecting and studying monuments of history, monumental art, architecture;
— devotees of preservation of Sloboda Ukraine cultural heritage: their path of life, artistic legacy;
— destiny of garden complex of Sloboda Ukraine (history, architecture, figures);
— results of modern expeditions (archaeological, ethnographical, etc.);
— research, restoration, attribution of objects from museum collections;
— current issues of archaeological monuments of the Stone Age — Early Iron Age of Eastern Ukraine;
— issues of art history: artistic legacy and the present (architecture, interior and exterior design, painting, graphic art, sculpture).
