Conference on Fridtjof Nansen’s Activity in Ukraine in 1921-1922
On October 10-11, 2019, at the initiative of Karazin University and the Norwegian Embassy in Ukraine, the University is holding a conference dedicated to Fridtjof Nansen’s activity in Ukraine in 1921-1922.
The first day’s program aims at a wide audience, addressing general issues about the personality of Fridtjof Nansen, issues of peace and stability, migration, etc.
The second day's agenda includes the work of the following sections:
— Section 1 (Historical): “Activities of International Humanitarian Organizations in Ukraine in the 1920s”
— Section 2 (International Relations): "Transformation of the Role of International Organizations in the Face of Modern Challenges"
— Section 3 (Psychological): “Social and Psychological Well-Being in a Historical Context”
— Section 4 (Sociological): “(Geo)Policies of Identity. Ethnicity, Migration, Borders”
— Section 5 (Philosophical): “Ukraine in the European Context: Modern Strategies for Intercultural Communication”
— Section 6 (Legal): “Current Issues in Civil Society and the Rule of Law: Modern Challenges and Major Trends”
