Professor Tetyana Kaganovska Is Karazin University President from Today


In accordance with the order of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine No. 282-k of July 12, 2021, following the University President election, Professor Tetyana Kaganovska was appointed President of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University on July 14, 2021, and a contract was concluded with her.

On July 14, during a meeting of the University Administration, Vil Bakirov announced the signed order, congratulated the new President on the appointment and handed her over a transitional book with the main affairs of the University’s structural subdivisions.

In her introductory speech, Tetyana Kaganovska thanked Vil Bakirov, who headed the University for over 20 years. She noted that Karazin University had always been a team of like-minded people working on the principles of professionalism, competence, responsibility, freedom and mutual respect. The University has always had an atmosphere of creativity and scientific search. She stressed that President's work is a great responsibility, and Karazin University is a powerful university corporation with great potential and prospects for development.

For reference. Tetyana Yevhenivna Kaganovska was born on October 11, 1975 in Melitopol, Zaporizhzhia region. In 1997, she graduated from the Yaroslav Mudryi National Law University with a degree in Law, obtained a qualification of a lawyer and received a diploma with honors. In 2000, she defended her PhD thesis in Law on Tax Authorities in the System of Subjects of Tax Relations.

In September 2001, she started working at V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University at the Department of Law, School of Philosophy, later she was elected Head of the Department. Together with her colleagues she actively participated in the revival of Karazin University School of Law. In May 2005, she was elected Dean of the School of Law of the University. In May 2012, she defended her doctoral dissertation on Administrative and Legal Principles of Public Administration Human Resourcing in Ukraine, Doctor of Law, specialty 12.00.07 — Administrative Law and Procedure; Finance Law; Information Law. In 2014, she was awarded the academic title of Professor of the Department of State and Legal Disciplines.

She is the author of almost 200 publications in the field of financial, administrative, information and tax law, public administration, civil service, published in domestic and foreign publications, including scientific, educational and methodological works, manuals, textbooks, monographs.

Tetiana Kahanovska is the Merited Lawyer of Ukraine, awarded the Order of Princess Olga (III degree). Her research interests include the development of higher education, the legal framework of public administration in Ukraine.
