97-Year-Old Tennis Player of Unicourt Sports Club of Karazin University Entered the Guinness Book of Records


On July 7, 2021, the Unicourt Sports Club of Karazin University held a ceremony of awarding the Guinness World Records certificate to Leonid Stanislavskyi, the oldest tennis player.

The certificate confirms that the athlete is the oldest participant in official tennis competitions.

Leonid Stanislavskyi plays tennis at Unicourt three times a week, regardless of the season. He is a bronze medalist of the European Championship in Antalya in doubles in the 80+ category, a participant in international tournaments in the Netherlands, the USA, Croatia. At the age of 97, the athlete is actively preparing for the next world championship.

During the ceremony, Leonid Stanislavskyi demonstrated a masterful game of tennis and shared his secrets of longevity.
