Anti-Epidemic Measures at the University During Quarantine Due to the Spread of Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19)
In order to promptly respond to the spread of acute respiratory disease caused by coronavirus COVID-19, the University has established headquarters, which can be contacted by phone +380 (57) 705-12-54, +380 (93) 241-65-39 or e-mail address email@example.com
Students and employees are allowed to enter the University provided that they use personal protective equipment (respirator or protective masks, including homemade ones), after temperature measurement with a non-contact thermometer.
Persons accompanying students or employees, except for those accompanying persons with disabilities, are not allowed inside the University.
At the University entrance, it is necessary to practise social distancing, 1.5 meters away from one another. Persons with a body temperature above 37.2 C or signs of respiratory diseases (rhinitis, cough, fever, etc.) are not allowed to study or work. Information about such persons is recorded in a special journal by those responsible for temperature screening.
In case of health deterioration with symptoms of coronavirus disease, students studying in-person or online must notify the curator or the dean’s office (directorate) of their School (institute) personally or by electronic means of communication (е-mail, Viber, Telegram). Contact numbers of dean’s offices (institutes) can be found on the University website.
In case of fever above 37.2 C or signs of acute respiratory disease, the University employees must inform their immediate supervisor about health deterioration in-person, by mail or by electronic means of communication (e-mail, Viber, Telegram, fax), seek medical help and not go to work.
In case of signs of acute respiratory disease (rhinitis, cough, fever, loss of smell, taste), students and employees who are at the University may contact the Primary Health Care Center of the University (Khimichna side, 2nd floor, Main Building, 4 Svobody Sq).
The University students and employees who have a signed declaration with a family doctor should contact their family doctor.
In case of confirmation of coronavirus disease, the doctor determines the algorithm of actions in accordance with the Standards of Medical Care for Patients with COVID-19. If a coronavirus case is confirmed in one of students, all other students in this group need self-isolation and must follow the recommendations of their family doctor.
After a person with symptoms of infectious disease has left the room, it is ventilated off-schedule and its high-touch surfaces are disinfected.
Algorithm of actions in the event of suspected or confirmed cases of coronavirus infection COVID-19 in the Uuniversity dormitories
Students are accommodated in the University dormitories only after a medical examination at the Primary Health Care Center of the University (Khimichna side, 2nd floor, Main Building, 4 Svobody Sq), provided that they wear a face mask covering the nose and mouth, have undergone temperature screening with a non-contact thermometer, and practise social distancing using temporary markings on the floor. International students can have medical examination in the Municipal Non-Commercial Enterprise “City Hospital No 20”.
Dormitories have responsible persons who conduct a daily non-contact temperature screening for all employees before the start of a work shift and for persons living in the dormitories.
Students are allowed to enter the dormitories provided that they wear face masks covering the nose and mouth, after temperature measurement with a non-contact thermometer. Persons with a body temperature above 37.2 C or signs of respiratory diseases (rhinitis, cough, fever, etc.) are not allowed to enter their rooms and are placed in isolation wards for patients who need self-isolation under medical supervision and do not require hospitalization. International students may self-isolate in a separate accommodation facility, which may not belong to the University and provide accommodation services on a contractual basis.
The dormitory staff should stay away from people with symptoms of respiratory disease.
Contact persons with suspected coronavirus disease must self-isolate in accordance with the Standards of Medical Care for Patients with COVID-19.
When accommodating in dormitories on weekends, holidays or at night, students with signs of acute respiratory disease are placed in isolation wards. The next day, they must contact a family doctor or call +380 (57) 725-55-37 to the Municipal Non-Commercial Enterprise “City Hospital No 20”, follow all the doctor’s recommendations and inform the dean’s office of their School (institute) or their group curator.
