Ideathon "My Safe Community": Call for Participation

We invite you to take part in the preparatory working meeting within the hackathon for local community development “Hack for Locals 2.0: Safe Communities” — ideathon “My Safe Community” to be held on August 4-5, 2020.

The purpose of the event is to engage key public safety stakeholders (security service providers, local authorities, civil society leaders, service users) and the IT sector to outline public security challenges, more deeply analyze problems and develop ideas-requests to be digitally implemented at the hackathon “Hack for Locals 2.0: Safe Communities” in the fall of 2020.

The ideathon "My Safe Community" is two days of online workshops, immersion in issues, productive dialogues and discussions, generating ideas and testing hypotheses, personal and group insights, making new acquaintances and partnerships.

The main areas the participants will focus on are digital security and digital literacy, inclusive security services for everyone, coordination between different security service providers and communities, crisis response and early warning / notification opportunities (how to unite citizens, government officials and local security service providers in the event of an emergency or threat in order to take the necessary preventive measures and make joint actions faster and more effective), evidence-based public safety (how to use open access data for shared benefit), security of services (creating conditions for the provision of services to citizens who often cross the contact line, security of personal data when providing online services, etc.).
