Quarantine Restrictive Measures to Prevent COVID-19 from Spreading: University Informs

With the aim of preventing the spread of COVID-19 among the population, the Ministry of Health has introduced mandatory restrictive measures for the quarantine period, including:

– carrying identity documents;

– wearing a face mask or a respirator in all public places;

– it is prohibited to gather in groups larger than two outside, with the exception of accompanying children regardless of their number;

– people over 60 should currently stay at home (those who are not cared for are allowed to go shopping in places located no more than two kilometers from the place of self-isolation);

– children under 14 are recommended to go out only with their parents or foster parents;

– pets can be walked by no more than two persons (only one person is allowed to walk a pet in parks);

The violation of quarantine rules is punishable by a fine of UAH 17,000 to UAH 34,000, in some cases criminal liability may also be imposed. The Ministry of Home Affairs and the National Guard will monitor the observation of quarantine rules in public places.

Karazin University reminds that the academic process is being carried out remotely, which means that students are not required to attend the University in-person.  By the decision of heads of subdivisions, the University employees move to flexible (remote) work, according to their approved schedule.
