Coursera Online Learning: Free Access to Educational Resources of World’s Leading Universities

With the aim of preventing the spread of coronavirus infection among the population, Karazin University announced a quarantine and transitioned from in-person to online instruction.

In connection with the quarantine, the Coursera community has launched an initiative to provide free access to the educational resources of world’s leading universities for all educational institutions impacted by the spread of coronavirus.

Nowadays, Karazinites have access to 4,262 Coursera courses, in particular in arts and humanities, business, computer science, data science, information technology, healthcare, mathematics and logic, personal development, natural and technical sciences, social sciences and languages.

For reference. Coursera is an educational technology company founded by Stanford University computer science professors Andrew Ng and Daphne Koller. Since its founding, the Coursera team has collaborated with 170 top universities of the world. Its academic programs help students not only during studying at higher education institutions, but also after graduation. Coursera is also a great opportunity for young professionals to improve their professional skills and feel more confident in the job market. In case of successful completion of the offered courses, the user receives a certificate of completion from the company.

Coursera provides an opportunity to integrate its existing courses into university curricula. Instructors can also experiment and publish private lessons, courses, assessments, and hands-on projects accessible only to their students and alumni. In addition, the resource provides access to educational analytics that helps understand the level of students’ acquisition of knowledge and skills.
