President Vil Bakirov’s Congratulations to the University Graduates

Dear graduates!

I am greatly honored and happy to congratulate you on behalf of Karazin University Corporation on this significant event — your successful graduation from the University with a master’s degree!

Your student years are in the past, and as you will soon understand — those were the best years of your lives.

We really appreciate that you chose Karazin University as a place for your professional and spiritual development, the university which in a week is celebrating the 215th anniversary since the day it opened and admitted its first students.

Throughout these 215 remarkable years, many generations of professors, students and graduates have glorified the University with outstanding scientific discoveries, spiritual ups, maintained and enriched its humanistic traditions.

These 215 years also belong to each of you, everyone who is now in this hall, as you too have made a contribution to this story.

Your contribution is your diligent studying, fruitful student research, active participation in creative, cultural life and sports, student self-government, volunteering, and many deeds and actions that have been added to the treasury of the University’s achievements for 215 years of its existence.

And a considerable credit goes to you for the fact that Karazin University is the only Ukrainian higher education institution that is in the top 500 of the world’s best universities.

What should I wish you on this important day, in this exciting moment? Good health and great creative energy! Constantly move forward, overcome all obstacles, never give up! Change in a world that is changing very fast now, but be true to yourself and your principles!! Keep in touch with student friends, always help each other! Be creative, be strong, love Ukraine and love your Alma Mater! And everything will be fine.

I am hugging each of you, passing on a piece of Alma Mater’s warmth! May it keep you warm throughout your long and happy life! And as the world student anthem says:

Vivat, Academia!

Vivat, Professores!

Vivat, Karazin University graduates!
