O. I. Akhiezer Institute of Theoretical Physics of the National Scientific Center “Kharkiv Institute of Physics and Technology”, School of Physics and Technology of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University, and the Ukrainian Physical Society are pleased to invite everyone interested to attend the general physics seminar “Problems of Modern Physics”.

Topic: “Generation of bound dineutron in nuclear reactions and some effects of its transformation”.

Speaker: Head of the Department of Nuclear Physics, School of Physics, Taras Shevchenko Kyiv National University, Professor Ihor Kadenko.

Seminar discussion points:

— how can one obtain a nucleus consisting of only two neutrons in a bound state?;

— was the possibility of the bound dineutron generation foreseen?;

— results of generating the dineutron in reactions 159Tb (n, 2n) 158gTb and 197Au (n, 2n) 196Au;

— decay of the bound dineutron and the effects we observe.

Beginning: at 14:40, on January 17, 2020
