Schools

At present the University has 21 Schools: the School of Biology, the School of Physics and Technology, the School of Radiophysics, the School of Physics, the School of Computer Sciences, the School of Philosophy, the School of Mathematics and Mechanical Engineering, the School of Geology and Geography, the School of Ecology, the School of Economics, the School of Foreign Languages, the School of History, the School of Philology, the School of Fundamental Medicine, the School of Chemistry, the School of Sociology, the School of Psychology, the School of Law, the School of Retraining and Advanced Learning, the School of International Economic Relations and Tourism, the School of Physics and Energy. The latter was created with the help of the Institute of Mechanical Engineering Problems of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.

The Schools of the University, the International Students Center, the Pre-University Training Center provide teaching for about 12 000 students, over 400 postgraduate students, employ up to 1 500 teaching and research staff including over 200 Doctors of Sciences (DSc), Full Professors and about 800 PhDs, Associate Professors.

The University trains specialists in 115 majors and specialities covering all areas of modern classic university education.

Every year the University enrolls students 30% of whom have school leaving certificates with distinction, and 10% are prizewinners of the 3rd and 4th stages of the All-Ukrainian School Olympiads.
