Practice Conference "Psychosocial Support for Families of Joint Forces Operation Soldiers"


On February 7-8, 2019, Karazin University is holding the practice conference “Psychosocial Support for Families of Joint Forces Operation Soldiers”.

The conference purpose is to familiarize the medical community with the methodology and modern methods of work with psychic trauma, to disseminate a psychosocial approach as a methodology for strengthening the capabilities of people traumatized by war, to exchange scientific achievements, practical experience of using effective approaches and methods of assistance to families who lost their relatives during war, to introduce methods of preventing professional burnout of specialists working with psychic trauma.

Conference focus areas:

— psychic trauma of war and its consequences for health;

— trauma-focused methods of treatment;

— psychosocial approach and strengthening of capabilities of people traumatized by war and of their families;

— psychology of grieving. Psychological rehabilitation of children and adults who lost their family members;

— modern methods of recovery after loss;

— supervision as a method of preventing professional burnout of specialists working with psychic trauma.
