Happy International Day of Peace!
The International Day of Peace is celebrated on September 21 each year. The holiday initiated by the General Assembly of the United Nations is dedicated to strengthening ideals of peace within and outside states and countries.
The holiday initiators suggested that all countries and nations conduct educational and public informative actions on peace. On the whole, the International Day of Peace symbolizes absence of war and violence.
Kharkiv Regional Committee of the International Ukrainian Union of war participants and Kharkiv Regional Organization of UN peacekeepers initiate a number of ceremonial events on the occasion.
Particularly, a cooperation agreement on strengthening and maintaining peace is expected to be signed between representative participants of the delegations from Kharkiv, Krakow (Poland) Kyiv, Moscow (Russia) and Zaporizhzhia. The guests of honor will visit the Museum of Afghan War, the Cynological Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in Kharkiv oblast, the National Memorial Complex “Marshal I. Koniev’s Height”.
Moreover, Yu. Gagarin Kharkiv Planetarium is holding a meeting of the city club of young peacekeepers with the ceremony of admission of new members to the ranks of peacekeepers. Let us congratulate Karazinites on this holiday and may harmony, peace and patience attend them!
