The University took part in the work of the International Conference "Space research in the states - participants of CIS: integration, capacity development and legal aspects"

The results and perspectives for further joint study of the Universe were discussed at the beginning of October in Moscow in the framework of international scientific-practical conference "Space research in the states - participants of CIS: integration, capacity development and legal aspects." The Kharkiv National University named after V.N. Karazin took part in this prestigious forum held in the Council of Federation and the Space Research Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences. In particular, the poster among other ones has been presented in the exhibition hall of the Institute for Space Research with the results obtained in 2009 in the course of the satellite experiment STEP-F device, which was designed and manufactured by specialists of the university. This instrument was a part of the scientific equipment complex "Photon" developed under leadership of the Russian Institute of Astrophysics of the National Research Nuclear University "Moscow Engineering &Physics Institute".

Principal Investigator of the project, professor of the National Research Nuclear University "MEPhI" Yuriy Kotov, had presented the report "Investigations of solar activity in the CORONAS-PHOTON project, and prospects for further joint space research" at the section "Plasma, astrophysical and planetary studies". In which he described the significant results of the Earth's radiation belts exploration by the STEP-F device. It was discussed also the proposition of the Moscow leading institution NRNU "MEPhI" to realize new satellite experiment "Solar monitor", in which the Kharkiv National University named after V.N. Karazin will also participate with the new compact device SIDRA.
