New Creative Space for Young People Opened at University Campus

Karazin University students have implemented a project, which participated in the first wave of the UPSHIFT program.

The program was initiated by the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) with the support of the European Union. In Ukraine, UPSHIFT is implemented by the NGO “‘Professional Development of Kharkiv’ Foundation”.

The students’ intention was to create a free space for healthy entertainments in the residence hall where Ukrainian and foreign students live. For this purpose, the team reconstructed an old room in residence hall No. 4 and created a modern space for young people's seminars, studying, and other activities.

The students took care of changing the lighting and equipped the room with everything necessary. Now this space is an intercultural platform for young people from different countries.
