Merry Christmas!

On January 7, all Orthodox Christians celebrate Christmas, one of the most important religious holidays. This holiday has great cultural and historical value.

The Ukrainian people have a good custom of wishing each other happiness, health, longevity and harmony in a home and family. It is called Kolyada. On Christmas Eve, the Ukrainians go from house to house singing Christmas carols, greeting the hosts and their children with songs and a display of everyday scenes. Traditionally, Christmas is celebrated in a family circle. At such moments, the true magic of Christmas begins — when the whole family gathers around the table.

In the morning of January 7, the Ukrainians traditionally go to church to pay tribute to the newborn Christ. After the church service, families gather around the festive table again to start a big Christmas party.

Merry Christmas! May happiness, peace and harmony attend!
