On April 20, 2012 at the Large Assembly Hall of the Main Building of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University there was a concert given by the artistic group Anhui Patterns from Anhui University (China).

The Vice-President of the University for Research, Professor Illya Ivanovych Zalyubovsky made a welcoming speech before the concert. He pointed out that owing to the opening of Confucius institute at our university students and teachers have an opportunity not only to learn Chinese but also to familiarize themselves with eastern culture. Anhui Patterns introduced the spectators to their folk culture and playing the national authentic musical instruments. Not only representatives of our culture but foreign students of our university as well attended the event.

On the eve of the concert an exhibition of Chinese art and calligraphy opened in the lobby of the Large Assembly Hall.
