School of Radiophysics, Biomedical Electronics and Computer Systems exists since 1952. Until 2014, the school was known as the School of Radiophysics. School of Rradiophysics in Kharkiv was founded due to Prof. D. A. Rozhanskii who lectured at Kharkov University in 1911–1921 years (later he became a member of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR) and his disciple A. A. Slutskin (the inventor of magnetron and first radars, and later — academician of NAS of Ukraine).

Graduation of students of the School

Today, School of Radiophysics, Biomedical Electronics and Computer Systems trains bachelors in applied physics and electronics (duration — 4 years), specialists in radio physics and electronics, physical and biomedical electronics and masters of Radiophysics and Electronics in the following areas: Theoretical and Computational Radiophysics; Quantum Radiophysics; Radi-ophysical Measurements; Physical and Biomedical Electronics and Complex Information Tech-nology; Physics of Microwaves; Space Radiophysics; Astronomy; Antennas and Propagation; as well as specialists and masters in Biological Physics on the following specializations: molecular biophysics and medical biophysics. Duration of training for specialists and masters is 2 years.

Among our graduates, there are 39 awardees of the State Prize in Science and Technolo-gy, 7 academicians and 7 corresponding members of the NAS of Ukraine, more than 120 doctors and more than 600 candidates of sciences, directors and leading specialists of academic institutions, research centers, enterprises and institutions of higher education, and wellknown businessmen.
