More than 3000 specialists in different fields of science graduated School of Physics and Technology during almost 50 years of its existence. The majority of graduates are successful scientists. More than 30% of our graduates have academic degrees. Two our graduates took up high positions in Ukrainian government.

Three discoveries (from more than two thousand) put in the Ukraine State Discoveries Register were made by our School graduates. Names of the following professors, our former graduate students are well known throughout the scientific world: V. Storizhko, D. Volkov,

S. Peletminskiy, M. Shul’ga, I. Zalyubovskiy, K. Stepanov, V. Slezov, V. Tolok.

School of Physics and Technology was established in 1962 for teaching the experts in the advanced fields of science such as nuclear physics, plasma physics and materials science.

The School has made a sufficient contribution to the world scientific treasury. Among School’s graduates there are more than ten Lenin’s prize winners, more than 50 USSR and other republics State prizes, more than 10 Academy of Science prize winners, ten members of the Academy of Science, more than 25 Corresponding Members of the Academy of Science and a lot of Soros Professors.

There is a wide range of places of our School graduates employment: it includes Ukrainian scientific centers, Academic institutions and universities, world scientific centers in Europe, Korea, Japan, Australia, USA etc.

High-qualified lecturers perform the tuition process taking into account the peculiarities of modern physics achievements. Our students take part in Summer Schools held by the leading scientific centers: Max Plank Institute (Germany), High School (Darmstadt, Germany), Free University of Brussels etc.

Nowadays more than 300 students study at 7 School’s Departments to get the bachelor’s degree in «Applied physics». School’s students can also get Master’s degree in:

School of Physics and Technology has modern computer classes, a sport hall, a hostel (campus) and well-equipped scientific school laboratories.

High lever of knowledge obtained by our students allows them to win in different scientific contests in physics, to get the higher prizes in Ukrainian Contests of Scientific Works developed by students. Our best students get the scholarships of members of the Academy of Science – K.D. Sinel’nikov, A.K. Valter, O.I. Akhiezer and of Euler international scholarship fund, President’s, Ukrainian Parliament’s and Ministry’s scholarships and some charity funds’ scholarships.

The term of study to get the Master’s degree in «Experimental nuclear physics and plasma physics» or in «Applied physics» is 5,5 years; to get the Master’s degree in «Medical physics» the term of study is 5 years.
